By Omeiza Ajayi ABUJA – A sociocultural and political interest group from the South eastern part of the country, Oganiru Ndigbo has asked the Igbo to support the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari in order to pave way for the realization of a president of Igbo extraction in 2023.
A party member, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, insisted that the party wasn’t looking in the direction of an individual to lead the campaigns to convince Ndigbo on why they should vote for PDP in the presidential election.
According to the immediate past Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr. Joe Nworgu, Osu people are “regarded as the property of the deity and are made to live separately from the freeborn, and close to the shrines and marketplaces.
Having said that, let me add that what we did at Nri was something that is of paramount interest to Ndigbo.

He said the Southeast Governors who are members of the party risk backlash from Ndigbo if the party loses in the zone during the presidential election.
“If they don’t work hard and our party loses, there will be a backlash against them from Ndigbo after the election.
THE General Assembly of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, yesterday alleged that the huge number of uncollected Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, in the South-East and other parts of the country where Igbo people reside was deliberately orchestrated as part of plans and efforts of some mischief makers in collaboration with corrupt Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, officials to disenfranchise Ndigbo from voting their candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
