The region was just recovering from devastating fires in Betty's Bay and Hermanus's Hemel-en-Aarde Valley.
This current veld fire is located just a few kilometres away from the ones that ravaged the Betty’s Bay region two weeks ago.
"Reports were received around the greater Cape Peninsula and beyond with reports from Hermanus, Kleinmond, Betty's Bay, Gordons Bay, False Bay, Simon's Town, Cape Point, Scarborough, Kommetjie to Sea Point, Table Bay and Bloubergstrand."
