This comes less than two weeks after ex-Bosasa executives Angelo Agrizzi, Linda Nti and Andries Van Tonder were busted by the Hawks on corruption charges Former President Jacob Zuma, Minister Nomvula Mokonyane and MP Vincent Smith are some of the biggest names implicated in the Bosasa bribery scandal.
Last week, Agrizzi, together with former Bosasa chief financial officer Andries Van Tonder, former Bosasa senior staffer Frans Vorster, current Bosasa employee Carlos Bonifacio and former correctional services top brass Patrick Gillingham and Linda Mti were also arrested and charged.
Former Bosasa chief financial officer Andries Van Tonder said the company’s CEO Gavin Watson used to pay him an extra R20,000 in cash to keep quiet about the bribery.
Accused number 1 is former DCS commissioner Linda Mti, who handed himself over a day after the Wednesday arrests of the former chief financial officer under him, Patrick Gillingham (accused number 2), and former Bosasa linkmen Angelo Agrizzi (accused number 3) and Andries Van Tonder (accused number 4).

This was followed by arrests, including that of former Bosasa employees Angelo Agrizzi, Andries Van Tonder, Frans Vorster, current Bosasa staff member Carlos Bonafacio, Gillingham and Mti.
Agrizzi, together with former Bosasa chief financial officer Andries Van Tonder, former Bosasa senior staffer Frans Vorster, current Bosasa employee Carlos Bonifacio and former correctional services top brass Patrick Gillingham and Linda Mti were also arrested and charged.
He was listed as a suspect by the Hawks along with former Bosasa chief operations officer and state capture whistleblower Angelo Agrizzi, former correctional services chief financial officer Patrick Gillingham and former Bosasa executive Andries Van Tonder.
