A mother has opened a police case against her son's primary school sports coach after he and some classmates were allegedly ordered to lower their pants and stand with their backs to him after a pupil's money disappeared.

Cape Town – Sans Souci Girls' High School's student governing body (SGB) has suspended the teacher and pupil seen in an altercation in a video that has been met with outrage.
"They have both been informed by the school governing body that disciplinary steps will be taken against them.
In a video that went viral on social media, a teacher of the Newlands school is seen reprimanding a pupil for not having the correct book and for having her cellphone out in an incident that occurred on Tuesday.
She said that while there is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach to unruly behaviour in our schools, there are certain methods that can be adopted to deal with different circumstances.
No learner will be disadvantaged because of the five weeks that have been lost,” the official responsible, David Millar, Director of Metro North Education District, told parents.
Disgruntled Mfuleni Learner Representative Council leaders protested on Friday in solidarity with the more than 1 000 of their peers who haven't been allocated places at local schools.
