Police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said the shooting and injuries on a police officer by Senator Dino Melaye and his armed thugs in Kogi State on the 19th July 2018 warranted his arrest.
The Acting Inspector General, Adamu Mohammed, has appointed Frank Mba as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Police, replacing the former spokesman DCP Jimoh Moshood.
The Force Headquarters spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, said Madu was the owner of the factory known as Cabara.
According to the force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, operatives received credible intelligence and acted on it to uncover the fake factory, where substantial production, packaging and distribution of suspected fake drugs to different parts of the country were being carried out.
The presidential order was flagrantly flouted and, on top of that, Jimoh Moshood, his mouthpiece, resorted to name-calling.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Jimoh Moshood, said it was high time Nigerians inculcated the culture of the seven core values for a better Nigeria.
DCP Jimoh Moshood, Force Public Relations Officer, Police stated that the Force did not give any protection to any political thug or shield any APC thug to go to the family quarters of the Senate President in Agbaji, Ilorin and vandalize houses, shops and inflict wounds with machete on three (3) people as claimed by the Senate President.
“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to categorically state that all the allegations in the statement of the Senate President are incorrect, misleading and false,” police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said in a statement.

Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, claimed Melaye was moved to a health facility of the Department of State Services (DSS) following complaints that his condition was not improving.
