The traffic commandant said his officers will do all they can to curb further accidents as the country prepares for end of year festivities, a season that usually sees a rise in number of deadly crashes.
Traffic boss Samwel Kimaru said the number of reported road accidents in the country rose sharply this year.
Speaking in Kisii on Thursday evening while addressing different stakeholders in the matatu industry, Kimaru explained that most accidents in the Country are caused by recklessness and don’t care attitude by majority road users.
The Homeboyz bus that crashed and killed 56 people at the Fort Ternan black spot in Kericho county was on an illegal night run, Police Inspector General Joseph Boinett said yesterday.
