Speaking during the dedication of the 2019 PDP Campaigns at the Cathedral Church of Saint, Port Harcourt on Sunday, Governor Wike said if Rivers people allow political godfathers to succeed in planting their godsons, they will suffer the consequences.
GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike, yesterday, predicted that the 2019 elections would afford Rivers people the opportunity to wipe out the dictatorial influence of godfathers in the state’s politics.
The Governor declared that the 2019 general elections will be used to put an end to the dictatorial tendencies of political godfathers in the state.
The Guardian learnt that the posters bore the image of APC candidate, Collins Owondah, who is contesting the PHALGA Constituency II in the House of Representatives.
Wike, speaking at the dedication of the 2019 PDP Campaigns at the Cathedral Church of Saints, Port Harcourt, also said it was only in South-West that a political godfather can usurp the mandate of the people.
